The Banjo Minnow lure system reviewed.
The banjo minnow is a new type of fishing lure that mimics a swimming minnow. There are lots of minnow lure kits available on the market today all claiming to be the best. The banjo minnow was on a TV advert claiming to be amazing so as I thought I would put it to the test. As an avid fisherman and hunter I have used many different types of lures with varying success. One of the main reasons I built this website was to get unbiased information about products out to other fishermen.

The banjo minnow arrived in the post in good time from an online retailer. I opened the product up and straight away it looked very different. The pack comes with over a hundred pieces including 32 rubber minnows. The basic design is that the minnow’s eyes detach from the rubber lure. Each eye is a different weight combined with the different rubber minnows meaning you have many options.
The banjo minnow eyes have a small connecting loop for your hook to go through. This means that you can change the lure without retying your fishing rig. The set also comes with a selection of quality hooks. The banjo minnow also comes with weed guards that loop round the hook. The pack comes with instructions and a DVD.
The banjo minnow swims in the water very well its very life like. You have excellent control over the lure you can make it swim like a struggling fish. The weed guard was surprising as well it is very simple but extremely affective at blocking snags.
The first day I tried the banjo minnow I was going after largemouth bass at my favourite fishing spot. It did not take me long to get some strikes about fifteen minutes and a lovely 20inch 5lb bass! I have used this lure now on many occasions with great success the fish include smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike and snapper! The banjo minnow now has a permanent place in my tackle box and would strongly advise you to invest in a pack.
